Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for an outstanding primary school in Hemel Hempstead. Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be supporting an Outstanding Catholic Primary School in Hemel Hempstead in their search for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role, starting immediately, within a school known for its exceptional care, strong values, and inclusive ethos.

The successful candidate will work primarily on a one-to-one basis with a Year 3 pupil with ASD, while also contributing as a classroom Teaching Assistant across KS2 and occasionally supporting other pupils on a 1:1 basis when required.

The Role
  • Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant position with an immediate start
  • Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 3 pupil with ASD
  • Supporting learning, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo
  • Assisting as a general classroom TA within KS2
  • Occasionally offering 1:1 support to other pupils as needed
  • Helping to maintain a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience supporting children with ASD and additional needs
  • Calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour and learning support
  • Confident working both 1:1 and as part of a classroom team
  • Passionate about inclusion and making a positive impact on pupils' lives
  • Comfortable working within a faith-based school (no requirement to be Catholic)
