KS2 SEN Primary Teacher - January 2026 Start - Permanent

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London. Salary: MPS Scale (M1 - M6). Aspire People.

The Role

As a SEN Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and tailored lessons to children with various needs, including but not limited to autism, learning difficulties, and speech and language delays. You will work closely with the SENCO to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), monitor progress, and provide support to ensure each child reaches their full potential. The role requires an enthusiastic teacher who is empathetic, creative, and adaptable, with the ability to inspire and engage children with SEN in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons to support the learning and development of children with SEN.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
  • Support children with emotional and behavioural needs, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Provide individual and group interventions as necessary, in line with each child's IEP.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and a commitment to providing inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of professionals and parents.
  • Passion for supporting children's development and well-being.
