Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team across our UK parks. You will wash, prep, and stock ingredients, help chefs during service, and maintain kitchen hygiene. You’ll join a supportive team and contribute to delivering great meals for guests.

The role offers opportunities to develop cooking and service skills, with training support, employee discounts, and a positive team culture across our 65 parks.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
• Good manual dexterity and basic food preparation skills.
• Positive, energetic approach and commitment to great service.
• Strong communication and team-player mindset.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients for service.
• Receive deliveries, check stock quality and expiry dates, store items correctly.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keep the kitchen clean and hygienic (appliances, surfaces, dishes).
• Support basic food preparation tasks as directed by senior chefs.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues for smooth service.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene responsibilities.
