• Assist in the preparation of food, helping to get meals ready efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen area, including equipment and appliances, ensuring a hygienic environment.
• Receive, check, and safely store kitchen deliveries, ensuring that all items are properly accounted for and stored.
• Understand and implement safe food handling principles to ensure the highest standards of food safety are met.
• Follow cleaning procedures for different surfaces and equipment, ensuring everything is sanitized and well-maintained.
• Ensure that all areas are well-presented and maintained in good condition, contributing to a professional kitchen environment.
• Practice safe systems of work across a range of tasks to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Understand and adhere to Health and Safety at Work legislation, always ensuring compliance and safety.
