Key Account Manager

As a Key account manager you will create and implement a sales strategy for the relevant national accounts which will realise sales, margin and market share growth ambitions ahead of PPG’s competitors.

Accountabilities
  • To create and implement a sales strategy for the relevant national accounts which will realise sales, margin and market share growth ambitions ahead of PPG’s competitors.
  • Optimise Rebate ROI and external engagement.
  • Ensure performance KPI’s are realised, and client link commercial excellence metrics are best in class.
  • Ensure a fully maintained growth pipeline in CL and 7-step process is followed to drive performance.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual and monthly sales; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Create and shape Joint business plans internally and externally to maximise results from their customer base to drive triple win. PPG/Customer/Consumer.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Meet IBP required compliance parameters and deadlines for inputs and outputs.
Experience Required
  • Degree level or equivalent with at least five years relevant sales and team leadership experience
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, a competent negotiator and a strong team player
  • PC literate and numerate with high levels of attention to detail
  • Excellent written, oral and customer presentation skills
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel extensively in the UK
  • Maintain agreed procedures and standards regarding Company vehicles, equipment and property, Health & Safety and other statutory requirements
  • Monitor and control holidays and sickness and make contingency plans to maintain coverage of customer needs when sales staff are absent
  • There may be occasions when working outside of normal hours will be required, including weekend work; customer entertaining, Trade Exhibitions, etc.
