The role:

The successful candidate will support the Original Penguin Sales Manager and the European Brand Director to drive the business in strategic customers to deliver financial results, maintain strong brand presence and continue dynamic growth. There will be account management for a strategic customer, Lifestyle Retailers/Department Stores across the Original Penguin portfolio which includes lifestyle, Golf and Tennis.

Based:

London showroom with regular travel to customers within UK and Europe

We are looking for a Key Account Manager for our Original Penguin brand. The role will be to support the Senior National Account Manager in creation, implementation and execution of aligned customer joint business plans (1-3 years) that deliver against the financial, go to market/brand presence and efficiency targets across Lifestyle Product. In addition:

  • Track weekly and monthly reports by account; monitor, track and analyse sales performance.
  • Analyse seasonal and core styles sale to draw key insights to drive growth with strategic customers.
  • Create presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Account responsibility for the sales, profit, brand presence and KPI’s for Active Sports brands with a strategic customer– monitor, challenge and lead course-correction recommendations as required.
  • Assist the Senior Account Manager with the sell-in process of Active Sports brands portfolio across strategic customers ensuring delivery of key propositions.
  • Build positive relationships with key contacts to work cross functionally both internally and externally, to ensure successful day to day management of strategic customers.

You will need to have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a sales environment including Key Account Management. Ideal candidate would have previously worked in a similar industry
  • Preferably experience with International Markets (Germany and Scandi)
  • Experience in negotiation
  • Good communicator with strong influencing skills and strategic thinking/planning
  • Commercial acumen – understanding of broader business financial principles and how to manage profitability to achieve financial gains.
  • Numerical acumen - Detailed, great with numbers and precise in delivery
  • Ability to analyse, spot trends and build a compelling commercial argument.Highly organised
  • Proactive and action orientated, committed to deliver results and overachieve targets with an entrepreneurial spirit
