Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading provider of industrial batteries and related products looking for a new Key Account Manager/BDM. Focusing predominantly on the material handling sector they require a new sales professional to develop their present material handling accounts in addition to targeting the end user across the UK. With a competitive basic and bonus opportunity this is an excellent opportunity for a professional individual to take on a new role.

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for a small number of the companies customer accounts in the material handling sector
  • Additionally target other material handling provider’s and a big focus on end user customer accounts
  • Provide a solutions based approach in understanding customer requirements for forklift truck batteries/motive power/motion
  • Form and implement a strategy to ensure customer requirements are continually met
  • Attend various customer site meetings across the UK
  • Develop an understanding of full warehouse requirements in order to understand how to best place forklift batteries through distribution & end user in order to ensure the end user benefits

The successful candidate will ideally possess experience of the material handling industry in some form, whether that is forklift trucks, batteries or other ancillary equipment. However, this is not essential and individuals with industrial/warehousing experience from another background would also be of interest. Crucially, you must have a strong aptitude both for account management and developing new business through different revenue streams.

Their product range they cover includes forklift trucks, sweepers, powered access, electric vehicles carriers and AGV’s. They also supply into both mining and rail and are looking increasingly to ensure they shift their focus to provide a solution to their ever growing customer base.
