Key Account Manager
Location: Fareham
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

TeamJobs is working with a leading electronics and manufacturing company to recruit an experienced and proactive Key Account Manager to manage and support a set of key customer accounts. About the Role: As a Key Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for your designated customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service. You\'ll work closely with internal departments, from purchasing to engineering, to meet customer requirements and support business growth. You will also play a key role in promoting sales and preparing quotations to secure ongoing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main interface with assigned customers, including site visits as required.
  • Maintain and manage plans to meet business and customer needs.
  • Oversee repeat orders and contract reviews, ensuring capacity, materials, and engineering requirements are in place.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Support engineering with tasks such as loading or checking Bills of Materials (BOMs) on the MRP system.
  • Expedite important issues internally and externally to avoid delivery delays.
  • Promote sales and prepare/negotiation quotations for existing customers.
  • Liaise with other departments on technical issues affecting delivery.
  • Any additional activities relevant to the role, as assigned by management.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in Account Management or a customer service role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong PC skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Confidence in preparing and presenting data to customers.
  • Effective planning and prioritisation skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Understanding of a CEM environment.
  • Knowledge of electronics production techniques.
  • Experience using MRP systems.
