Job summary

Carnero Lounge is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring every dish leaving the pass meets high standards. You will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, lead from the front, and help develop junior colleagues while maintaining strict allergen and food safety practices.

Based in England, this on-site role offers hourly pay with tips, flexible hours, staff meals, and continuous training as part of Loungers’ Casual Dining Group family.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Ability to follow dish specs and maintain high standards.
• Understand allergen processes and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and prep for each day.
• Keep a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, cleanliness, and hygiene.
• Follow allergen processes and keep the kitchen safe.
• Work with the wider team and help develop junior staff.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure quality plates.
