Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Como Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll support Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping the team deliver great shifts and ensuring every dish leaves the pass to spec. There’s real scope to grow into a senior kitchen role as part of a growing hospitality brand across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fresh ingredients.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices.
• Ability to follow dish specs and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts.
• Keep the kitchen clean, well-organised and to spec.
• Own your section: prep, par, cleanliness, and hygiene.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen safety.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to grow skills.
• Know the dish specs inside out and ensure quality plating.
