Cappello Lounge, part of Loungers, is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team and support the Head Chef and Sous Chef. You’ll help deliver great shifts and ensure every dish leaves the pass proudly.

Loungers is a growing hospitality brand with 300+ sites across England and Wales. The role offers up to £13.30/hr plus tips, paid breaks, staff meals, and a 50% discount from day one, with clear career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (hot and cold prep, cleaning, knife skills, hygiene).
• Potential progression: Junior Sous Chef aiming to grow into a senior kitchen role.
• Reliable team member with punctuality and commitment.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is done for each day.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep, par, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow allergen processes at all times and ensure kitchen compliance.
• Support and mentor newer chefs to develop skills and confidence.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate leaves to spec.
