Junior Java / Full-Stack Software Developer - Java/React

Kiddiminster - 2-3x a week in the office

£35,000–£38,000 DoE

A growing UK software company is hiring a Junior Java / Full-Stack Developer to join its product engineering team working on a modern, web-based ERP platform used by customers every day.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with around 12+ months commercial experience who wants to develop strong full-stack skills, work on real product features, and progress quickly within a supportive, long-term team.

The Role

You’ll work on end-to-end product features, contributing across backend and frontend while being supported by experienced Tech Leads and senior engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building new product features from design through to release
• Developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Creating responsive user interfaces with React
• Working with PostgreSQL, Hibernate and GraphQL
• Deploying via Docker containers (cloud-hosted customers)
• Collaborating with Product and QA in agile sprints
• Learning best practices in testing, performance and clean code

What We’re Looking For

• Either 1 year+ commercial experience or relevant educational experience
• Good knowledge of Java and modern JavaScript
• Some experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
• Keen to learn, take ownership and grow as a developer

Open to candidates from other tech stacks who can transition to Java/React
