CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Junior Mechanical Plumber for a manufacturing environment in Peterborough. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on a static site, focusing on mechanical and plumbing tasks with a view to progression into a mechanical engineer role.

The role offers a basic salary up to £35,000, plenty of overtime, and strong progression opportunities within a supportive team. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Multi-skilled plumbing and mechanical duties.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain mechanical plant on site.
• Carry out plumbing tasks (unblocking toilets, taps, washers).
• Handle pumps, motors, seals and bearings maintenance.
• Service air handling units/fan coil units (filters, cleaning).
• Perform water treatment temperature checks.
• Light electrical duties (lamp changes).
• Support general building fabric and escort subcontractors.

Junior Mechanical Plumber – FM Service Provider - Manufacturing Environment – Peterborough – Up to £35,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Peterborough has arisen!

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a multi-skilled Maintenance Plumber based in a manufacturing environment. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across this static site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000, overtime, and progression to become a fully-fledged mechanical engineer.

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Plumbing work (Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc)
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

• Mechanically or Plumbing qualified - City & Guilds Level 2
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
