Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Junior Mechanical Plumber for a manufacturing FM site in Peterborough. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, focusing on plumbing and mechanical systems within a static site.

The role offers a basic salary up to £35,000, with overtime, holidays, pension, and clear progression paths toward a mechanical engineering track. Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience in commercial/building environments.
• Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
• Mechanical or plumbing qualification required (City & Guilds Level 2).

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant on site.
• Plumbing tasks including unblock toilets, replace taps and washers.
• Maintain pumps, motors, seals and bearings.
• Air conditioning AHU/FCU filter changes and cleaning.
• Water treatment temperature checks and dosing avoidance.
• Basic electrical duties (lamp changes).
• Maintain general building fabric and escort subcontractors.

Junior Mechanical Plumber – FM Service Provider - Manufacturing Environment – Peterborough – Up to £35,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Peterborough has arisen!

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a multi-skilled Maintenance Plumber based in a manufacturing environment. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across this static site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000, overtime, and progression to become a fully-fledged mechanical engineer

Hours of work

• Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Plumbing work (Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc)
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

• Mechanically or Plumbing qualified - City & Guilds Level 2
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
