Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing site in Peterborough. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and building fabric on a static site.

You will monitor plant, carry out plumbing, AHU/FCU care, water treatment checks, basic electrical tasks and support subcontractors. Candidates should be mechanically qualified (City & Guilds Level 2) and multi-skilled, with good communication and client-facing skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical maintenance.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Trade certificates should be available on request.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant and building fabric.
• Plumbing work including unblocking toilets and replacements.
• Maintain pumps, motors, seals and bearings.
• Air Conditioning AHU/FCU care and filter changes.
• Water treatment checks and dosing as required.
• Basic electrical duties and lamp changes.
• Escort specialist subcontractors on site.

Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - Manufacturing Environment – Peterborough – Up to £30,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Peterborough has arisen! CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a junior Mechanical Engineer based in a manufacturing environment. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across this static site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £30,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Plumbing work (Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc)
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements
