Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Junior Mechanical Plumber for a manufacturing FM service provider in Peterborough. The role is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a busy static site, with a focus on plumbing and mechanical systems.

You will monitor mechanical plant, perform tasks from unblocking toilets to replacing taps, care for pumps and air handling units, and escort specialist subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in plumbing or mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in commercial/building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant.
• Plumbing work (unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers).
• Pumps, motors, seals, bearings maintenance.
• Air conditioning - AHU/FCU (filters, cleaning).
• Water treatment (temperature checks).
• Basic electrical duties (lamp changes).
• General building fabric maintenance.
• Escort specialist subcontractors.

Junior Mechanical Plumber – FM Service Provider - Manufacturing Environment – Peterborough – Up to £35,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based in Peterborough has arisen!

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a multi-skilled Maintenance Plumber based in a manufacturing environment. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across this static site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000, overtime, and progression to become a fully-fledged mechanical engineer

Hours of work

• Monday- Friday 08:00-17:00

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Plumbing work (Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc)
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

• Mechanically or Plumbing qualified - City & Guilds Level 2
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
• Multi-skilled
• Good communication skills
• Client Facing
