You will work closely with various financial accountants and aid in monthly reporting and capital expenditures. Job description

Our Woking based Finance Team are true business partners, the backbone of making sure our business runs smoothly from finance perspective and vital to our success. Reporting to the UK Deputy Financial Controller, this role is responsible for reconciling all bank accounts including posting any cash transactions not recorded by the accounts payable and receivable teams, banking cheques, investigating reconciling items and managing all intercompany accounts with the Wider Bauer Group. This role also provides support to both the Senior Financial accountant and Capital Accountant with direct cash forecasting/management, monthly group reporting requirements, Creation of Asset budgets/Capitalization and other ad hoc requests including assistance with new reporting requirements. This role offers a study package to help you work towards your ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Posting of all cash transactions in conjunction with AP/AR and Weekly Reconciliations.
  • Assisting in the cashflow forecasting/management process.
  • Preparation of monthly MI Journals, including PSA, intercompany and Employee Loans.
  • Assisting with Capital Expenditure request set ups and fixed asset accounting.
  • Completion of all Intercompany postings and reconciling.
  • Completion of monthly reporting into Cognos controller.
  • Completion of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Completion and tracking of monthly management pack, including reporting to the parent Company.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and be proactive in measures taken to achieve responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to redesign processes, often using technology.
  • Good systems and ERP experience as well as excellent excel skills.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment, whilst maintain a high level of accuracy and focus.
  • Strong attention to detail and data interrogation skills.
