Job summary

A leading furniture manufacturing company is seeking a Junior Estimator to prepare estimates for bespoke furniture projects. In this role, you will promote high-end joinery, act as the main point of contact for client inquiries, and produce detailed cost estimates to meet customer requirements. Strong communication and numeracy skills are essential, along with exposure to the joinery craft. This position offers a salary of £30,000 - £40,000, with a location that is commutable to Fakenham.

Qualifications

  • Exposure to joinery/cabinet making and a good understanding of the craft.
  • Ideally technical experience within a subcontractor.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a manufactured range of bespoke high-end furniture and joinery.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke furniture.
  • Act as the main point of contact for commercial enquiries.
  • Produce detailed cost estimates that fulfil customer requirements.
  • Prioritise own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Attend project handover meetings for project understanding.
  • Identify, price and submit variations for approval.
  • Valuate project values and final accounts.
  • Value work in progress and submit to clients.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a manufactured range of bespoke high‑end furniture and joinery.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke furniture.
  • Act as the main point of contact for commercial enquiries internally and for clients.
  • Produce detailed cost estimates that fulfil customer requirements.
  • Prioritise own workload and communicate well with other departments to ensure all deadlines are met, in line with quality expectations.
  • Attend project handover meetings to gain an in‑depth understanding of projects.
  • Identify, price and submit variations for approval.
  • Valuate project values and final accounts.
  • Value work in progress and submit to clients.
