A leading estimator company in the United Kingdom is seeking an Estimator to support the estimating team in reviewing tender documentation and conducting site surveys. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost planning, use estimating software, and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure project accuracy and efficiency. This position requires strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
The Estimator shall, where required, carry out site surveys and / or attend meetings at the customers location, either independently or with Sudlows colleagues to review the site and requirements to obtain sufficient information to allow an accurate and appropriate cost plan, estimate and proposal to be developed.
The Estimator will support the estimating team and work on various enquiries, reviewing tender documentation to allow a full scope of works and requirements to be understood and prepared, allowing the estimate to be developed and inputted onto the system.
The estimator shall also liaise with the design team together with our supply chain and partners, to request quotations and proposals to pull together the overarching prime cost of the project.
Upon receipt of various quotations, the estimator shall review for accuracy and any scope gaps, saving the quotes in the relevant folder structure.
Using the customers specification and / or Sudlows developed design drawings and documents, review, understand and interpret the full requirements to ensure accurate take offs and materials list are obtained, captured and inputted onto the estimation software package.
The estimator shall also need to maintain the various documentation for accuracy and visibility to allow the cost plan and proposal to be reviewed by director during governance review and sign off.
Due to the nature of our customer base and site locations, there may be the requirement from time to time to stay away from home to attend customer meetings, carry out site surveys or meet supply chain.
