Junior Client Relationship Manager, Family Office

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced trust professional or qualified accountant to join their Family Office in the Relationship Management team located in the Isle of Man. This position reports to the Senior Client Relationship Manager, yet the successful individual may also work for multiple Directors and/or Partners within the department. This varied role involves close and regular interaction with clients, third parties associated with the organisation, as well as with internal departments and business units.

Job Duties:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, which includes all forms of communication with clients and their advisers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments/business divisions to effectively manage clients’ affairs.
  • Support business development and marketing efforts of the organisation.
  • Consult with third-party professionals such as lawyers, tax specialists, and asset managers to obtain their opinions on managing clients’ affairs.
  • Oversee clients’ affairs which involves preparing meeting documents, analysing investment performance, valuing investments, and analysing costs.
  • Ensure all transactions related to managing clients’ affairs are executed timely, efficiently, and accurately accounted for.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of clients, their businesses, and family dynamics while maintaining client files with meeting notes and understanding trust deeds and entity structures.
  • Approve payments, manage cash flow, and handle foreign exchange transactions.
  • Review financial statements of client entities.
  • Renegotiate existing loans with banks and negotiate new loans where applicable.
  • Review contracts between client entities and third parties.
  • Share expertise and provide technical assistance to team members on complex documentation, including reviewing and drafting where necessary.
  • Understand and manage risks in administering structures while ensuring internal procedures are adhered to and maintained.
  • Undertake other duties as required by management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent analytical, numeracy skills and strong commercial awareness.
  • Solid administration skills developed within a similar high-net-worth environment.
  • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Sound understanding of financial markets, investment management, and financial accounting gained through practical experience or as part of a qualification/degree.
  • Interpersonal skills to develop a deep understanding of clients' needs.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team where the emphasis is on collective achievements rather than individual success.
