Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a JetVac Assistant for its Aberdeen Depot. You will join a two-person team to attend drainage issues, blockages and reactive call-outs. The role is based in Aberdeen with a 40-hour Monday-to-Friday week and a £13.50 per hour salary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and high-pressure water jetting to clear drains and sewers.
• Follow health and safety requirements at all times.
• Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address concerns.
• Identify drainage issues including blockages, defects, infiltration and root ingress.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Support CCTV inspections to assess underground pipes.
• Assist in emergency responses such as flooding and urgent drainage issues.
• Complete RAMS under supervision.

About the Role:

We are looking to appoint a JetVac Assistant to join our Aberdeen Depot. Working as part of a two person teams, you will be responsible for attending drainage related issues such as blockages, pipe clearing, cleansing and reactive call outs.

• Location: Aberdeen
• Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
• Salary: £13.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery
• Ensure all H&S requirements are followed
• Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address any concerns.
• Assist in identifying drainage issues, including blockages, structural defects, infiltration, and root ingress.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear drains, sewers, and pipework.
• Remove waste materials and prevent build-up in wastewater systems.
• Perform routine equipment checks and maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Support CCTV inspections to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
• Assist in emergency response situations, including flooding and urgent drainage issues.
• Learn to complete job sheets, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS) under supervision.
