Job summary

The Lanes Group Leeds-based drainage specialist is seeking a field-based operative to operate high-spec jetting and vacuumation units. You will join a two-person team and tackle drainage issues across industrial, rail, utility, commercial and residential sectors, with travel throughout the region.

Applicants should have an HGV Class 2 licence (ideally with ≤3 points), a CPC is desirable, and comfort using a laptop/tablet for data entry. Depot origin with mobile work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required with no more than 3 penalty points.
• CPC is desirable.
• Competent with using a laptop/tablet for data entry.
• Physically fit and energetic.
• CSCS would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-spec jetting equipment and vacuumation units as part of a two-person team.
• Handle drainage projects including blockages, pipe cleansing, and emergencies.
• Travel from the depot to sites across the region; some travel time applies.

• Location: Leeds
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Salary: £16.50 per hour
• Overtime: Paid at time and a half over standard hours

About the role:

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
