Job summary

Lanes Group PLC is seeking a hands-on operative to operate jetting equipment and vacuumation units across Edinburgh and surrounding regions. You will be part of a two-person team, mobile to site with a depot start, carrying out drainage works including blockages and pipe cleansing.

• Must have good physical fitness and high energy levels.
• Competent with using a laptop/tablet for data entry.
• CPC qualification desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-spec jetting equipment and vacuumation units.
• Handle drainage issues including blockage clearance and pipe cleansing.
• Deliver emergency reactive works across various sectors.
• Travel to jobs within the region in a company vehicle.

Job description

About the role:

• Location: Edinburgh
• Role type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Up to £15.50 per hour dependant on experience

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous - however this could be obtained if necessary
