Job summary

The Lanes Group is the UK's leading drainage solutions provider. We are seeking a motivated drainage operative to join a two-person crew operating jetting and vacuumation equipment on diverse projects around Bristol. You will attend blockages, carry out cleansing programmes and respond to emergencies.

You will start at the depot and travel between sites across the region, with overtime as needed. A valid HGV Class 2 licence is preferred, CPC is desirable, and basic data entry on a laptop/tablet

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence required with ideally <=3 penalty points.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) desirable.
• Competent with data entry on laptop/tablet.

Responsibilities

• Operate high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units.
• Address drainage issues including blockages and pipe cleansing programmes.
• Assist on emergency reactive works and travel across the Bristol region.
• Start at the depot and mobile to sites within the region; occasional travel times apply.

• Location: Bristol
  
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Hourly rate: up to £17.50 dependent on experience
  

About the role:

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
