Job summary

The Lanes Group in Edinburgh is seeking a field operative to operate our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. You will cover drainage issues including blockages, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works.

Role requires mobility from the depot to sites, working across industrial, rail, utility, commercial and residential sectors with travel time added as needed.

Qualifications

• Competent in using laptop/tablet for data entry.
• Must be physically fit and energetic.
• CSCS would be advantageous if held (could be obtained if necessary).

Responsibilities

• Operate jetting equipment and vacuumation units as part of a two-person team.
• Travel across the region to attend to drainage issues, blockages, cleans and emergencies.

About The Role

• Location: Edinburgh
• Role type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Up to £15.50 per hour dependant on experience

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role

• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous - however this could be obtained if necessary
