Job summary

The Lanes Group in Leeds is seeking an adaptable operative to join a two-person team operating high‑spec jetting and vacuumation units across the region. You will be based at the depot but mobile, attending a variety of projects and sites as required.

You will travel between depots and sites, handling drainage tasks from blockages to cleansing programmes, with overtime opportunities and a friendly, growing group environment.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with ideally no more than 3 penalty points
• CPC is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry
• Physical fitness and lots of energy
• CSCS would be advantageous – could be obtained if necessary

Responsibilities

• Operate high-spec jetting equipment and vacuumation units as part of a two-person team
• Cover drainage-related works including blockage clearance and pipe cleansing programmes
• Travel from depot to various sites across the region, with additional travel times as needed

• Location: Leeds
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Salary: £16.50 per hour
• Overtime: Paid at time and a half over standard hours

About the role:

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
