£12.82 – £14.10 per hour DOE | Full Time, Temporary | Ottery St Mary

Our client is a well-regarded organisation that provides essential services to its local community. They offer a supportive working environment where teamwork, reliability, and flexibility are highly valued. Due to increased demand, they are seeking an IT Technician to join them on a temporary basis.

The Role:

This is a hands‑on IT Technician role suited to someone who enjoys practical problem‑solving and working in a busy environment. You will support the smooth running of day‑to‑day IT operations, ensuring equipment is set up, maintained, and functioning correctly. This position requires a DBS check, and candidates with the Update Service are particularly encouraged to apply for an immediate start.

Contract length – Immediate start (Subject to enhanced DBS) until 19th December

Responsibilities of the IT Technician:

• Provide general IT support, including basic hardware repairs and equipment setup.
• Move, configure, and maintain IT equipment across the site.
• Carry out basic software access tasks and assist with user queries.
• Ensure IT resources are safe, functional, and ready for daily use.

Requirements of the IT Technician:

• Previous experience in an IT support or technician role.
• DBS required; Update Service advantageous for quicker onboarding.
• Comfortable with physical aspects of the role, including moving equipment.
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently when required.
• You must be able to lift equipment, therefore, capable of manual handling.
