About the Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Auditor to join our Bristol head office on a full‑time, permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, perform, and coordinate complex audits in line with the annual audit plan and applicable regulations.
  • Prepare high‑quality reports on audit findings, communicate recommendations, and monitor progress on agreed actions.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise in at least one key risk area (e.g., credit, compliance, IT, operational risk) and contribute up‑to‑date knowledge to audit activities.
  • Supervise, coach, and provide feedback to audit team members, supporting their professional development.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the department and contribute to the development and maintenance of Internal Audit policies, procedures, and quality assurance programmes.
  • Support the Director of Internal Audit with special tasks, investigations, and participation in external committees or working groups.
  • Deliver clear and timely reporting to executive and board committees through high‑quality management information packs.
  • Promote Triodos’ brand and mission through professional networking and engagement with industry bodies.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Audit qualification in financial, operational, compliance, or IT auditing (CIA, CISA, CPA, PIIA, MIIA) is highly desirable.
  • Significant experience in internal audit or with a multinational audit firm, preferably with a focus on the banking sector.
  • Experience in the financial sector, particularly within banks or similar institutions, is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of UK banking sector regulatory frameworks (CASS, Operational Resilience, Consumer Duty, Regulatory Reporting).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to prepare risk assessments, develop work programmes, perform audits, and write clear reports.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong coaching skills to support the development of more junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10 working days per year.
