Job summary

Primary Goal are recruiting an enthusiastic Junior IT Service Desk Apprentice to join our growing team in Chester. This 37-hour/week role offers hands-on IT support experience within a fast-growing SaaS business, mentored training, and a clear development path on the Support Technician pathway.

The apprenticeship covers Level 3 Information Communications Technician standards, with training across multiple IT career options, including CompTIA and vendor certificates.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE English and Maths (grade 4) or Functional Skills Level 2.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (or higher) or Functional Skills Level 2.
• Strong interest in IT and problem-solving.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with IT support queries via email, chat, and phone.
• Learn how to diagnose basic technical issues.
• Help with data uploads and formatting in Excel.
• Support setting up and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) and integrations.
• Document common issues and update the knowledge base for self-serve support.
• Collaborate with Customer Support and Account Management teams.
• Identify potential system improvements and share ideas with the team.
