As part of this you will:
  • Build and lead effective relationships with key IT suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day performance of suppliers, driving service improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to ensure contractual commitments are executed and opportunities for improvement are identified.
  • Analyse supplier performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions where needed.
  • Lead supplier onboarding, RFx activities, renewals, and ongoing contract management.
  • Chair supplier performance and innovation forums, driving continuous improvement across the supplier base.
  • Ensure compliance with risk, governance and due diligence requirements.
  • Support strategic supplier classification, SRM framework implementation and process optimisation.
  • Produce and present detailed financial and performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Mediate effectively between internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues swiftly and constructively.
  • Drive efficiency and innovation in supplier management to enhance Serco’s competitive capability.
What you will need to do the role:
  • Proven experience in Supplier Relationship Management or Procurement, ideally within the IT category.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations and ITIL frameworks.
  • Experience managing multi‑million‑pound contracts, enterprise agreements and multi‑regional supplier relationships.
  • Skilled in contract drafting, negotiation and commercial management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and proficient in Excel and performance reporting.
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with strong mediation and influencing skills.
  • Commitment to Serco’s values and professional standards, with a strong moral compass.
