Job summary
The HBP Group is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Presales Engineer to join our Commercial team in a role that blends deep technical expertise with commercial awareness. You will design secure, scalable Microsoft-based IT solutions and work with Sales, Professional Services and Service Desk to deliver effortless customer experiences.
You will bridge requirements and delivery, engaging customers through discovery, design and project implementation while helping shape future service offerings
Qualifications
- Minimum five years' experience in IT presales, solutions engineer or senior infrastructure roles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience engaging with senior business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
- Strong documentation and solution design skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Design secure, scalable and commercially aligned IT solutions.
- Conduct customer discovery workshops, technical audits and site surveys.
- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Support the Sales team with technical expertise during customer engagements.
- Produce solution designs, architecture documentation and technical proposals.
- Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
- Ensure operational readiness for support take-ons.
- Ensure seamless handovers between Sales, Projects and Support.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with customers at every level.
- Identify opportunities to improve services, simplify processes and enhance the customer experience.
