Job summary

The HBP Group is seeking an experienced IT Solutions Presales Engineer to join our Commercial team in the UK. You will bridge customer requirements with technical delivery, designing innovative Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions and leading technical engagements from discovery through to delivery.

You will work closely with Sales, Professional Services and Service Desk to create effortless customer experiences while shaping future service offerings and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Five years+ experience in IT Presales, Solutions Engineer or similar role.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience engaging with senior business stakeholders.
• Able to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Strong documentation and solution design skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Design secure, scalable IT solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Conduct discovery workshops, technical audits and site surveys.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical designs.
• Support Sales with technical expertise during customer engagements.
• Produce solution designs, architecture documentation and technical proposals.
• Provide technical leadership through project delivery.
• Ensure readiness for support handovers between Sales, Projects and Support.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with customers at all levels.
• Identify opportunities to improve services and future roadmaps.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and shape service offerings.
