Job summary

A leading maritime organization in Clydebank is seeking an experienced IT Security Manager to oversee the operations of their IT Security team. In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will manage IT security compliance, mentor team members, and ensure all incidents are recorded according to legislative standards. Qualifications

• Extensive experience working within IT Security, particularly in a globally distributed IT environment.
• Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing.
• Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR).
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Ability to identify gaps in team knowledge and implement plans to close them.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience coaching and mentoring an IT Security team.
• Comfortable multitasking with ability to prioritize several tasks at once.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the IT Security team.
• Ensure deadlines for IT Security projects are met.
• Provide IT Security input into IT strategy and projects.
• Develop IT security policies and practices.
• Conduct security audits and investigations.
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain high security standards.
