Job summary

Emplyfy, an established MSP, is seeking an IT Engineer to join its fast-paced, high-energy team in the United Kingdom. You will be the first point of contact, troubleshoot on-site and remotely, manage incidents, and ensure SLA-based updates to customers.

The role requires 5+ years in a similar position, strong cybersecurity credentials (Cyber Essentials/GDPR), and hands-on experience with Office 365, Intune, RMM, Azure, and Windows/Mac environments.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar IT role.
• Experience configuring Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards (mandatory).
• Office 365 Cloud (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) experience (mandatory).
• Intune, RMM and telephone platform experience.
• Networking infrastructure maintenance and installations (Routers, Switches, APs, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, VLANs).
• Ability to proactively support and collaborate with service providers.
• Follow industry best practices processes.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 (Group Policies, Security Policies).
• Azure administration and implementations.
• Good understanding of Windows 10/11 and Mac.
• Familiar with different client builds/imaging.
• Strong customer support and written/verbal communication; team player.
• Ability to problem-solve independently.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for customers.
• Attend customer sites as required to troubleshoot and resolve problems or issues, and carry out scheduled maintenance.
• Manage incoming incidents and requests through the Service Desk Tool.
• Keep customers updated on their cases in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
• Escalate high-priority matters to Management when required.
• Review daily priorities and take the necessary action to achieve results.
• Monitor the integrity and status of customer sites, including usage, revisions, views and reporting, while ensuring customer business requirements are maintained to the highest standard.
• Install, test, maintain and repair hardware and software.
• Document processes and record tickets for outstanding work.
• Manage high-priority incidents both on-site and off-site.
