Job summary

Dunlop Oil & Marine Limited in Grimsby is seeking an IT Support Technician to join the local IT team. You will support systems, software, hardware, networks and users on a day-to-day basis and assist in setting up workstations, devices and shopfloor equipment.

The role requires handling IT tickets, supporting network maintenance, and liaising with Continental support. A willingness to enrol in related courses is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with a networked computer system and programming would be preferred but not essential.
• Respecting confidentiality.
• Knowledge of programming tools.
• Knowledge of Office 365 tools.
• Knowledge of Networking, TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Create and support internal reports for other areas of the business.
• Create and support internal applications.
• Responding to 1st Line user support tickets.
• Day to day support and maintenance of networks and equipment.
• Provide support to IT and/or business process improvements installation and setup of equipment.
• Assist in setting up workstations and user profiles for new employees.
• Assist in setting up mobile phones and shopfloor scanners.
• Working with backend systems and IP addresses.
• Software image installs.
• IT Administration.
• Liaise with Continental support – competence centres.
• Support of Shopfloor and lab equipment.
• Work towards completing a formal qualification (Level 3 IT Solutions Technician)
