Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) is an open defined benefit scheme within the LGPS. We manage over £5 billion of assets for around 40,000 members and seek a proactive Investment Lead to oversee our pooling partner LPPI and deliver our sustainability-led Investment Strategy.

You will line manage an Investment Analyst, work from Bristol or another location, and travel to meetings as needed while promoting flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience across asset classes and investment management
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing
• Knowledge of climate science and natural capital in investing
• Familiarity with LGPS and pooling arrangements

Responsibilities

• Oversee LPPI and deliver the Fund’s Investment Strategy
• Identify green growth opportunities with LPPI
• Monitor investments in public and private markets
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments
• Provide assurance on LPPI work and report to committees
• Communicate with members, committees, and external partners
• Travel to meetings; support flexible working arrangements
