Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) seeks an experienced lead for investment oversight, aiming to sustain a sustainability-led strategy within the LGPS framework. You will collaborate with LPPI, monitor diversified investments and advise on climate and biodiversity impacts, representing the Fund externally.

The role reports to the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance Directorate and is based in Bristol with flexible working options and travel to key sites.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LPPI to deliver the Fund’s Investment Strategy.
• Identify green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor investments in public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI work and report to governance bodies.
• Engage with members, media and public enquiries on investment.
