Job summary

The Environment Agency Pension Fund (EAPF) oversees assets for its 40,000 members and is part of the LGPS. We are seeking an experienced professional to help keep the Fund at the forefront of responsible investment and ensure delivery of our sustainability-led Investment Strategy.

The role involves overseeing LPPI, monitoring public and private market investments, and advising on climate and biodiversity impacts.

Qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of investing across asset classes.
• Strong understanding of responsible investment and impact investing.
• Strong understanding of climate science and natural capital, and its relevance for investing.
• Knowledge of the LGPS and pooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to the Fund's investment approach and strategy.
• Identify green growth opportunities with LPPI.
• Monitor investments across public and private markets.
• Advise on climate change and biodiversity impacts of investments.
• Provide assurance on LPPI's work through partnerships.
• Report progress to the Investment Oversight Group and Pensions Committee.
• Respond to member, media and public enquiries on our approach to investment.
• Network across the finance community and undertake public speaking commitments.
• Line manage one Investment Analyst.
