Job summary

A leading international engineering firm is seeking a Manufacturing Manager in Greater Manchester. You will facilitate the assembly of power electronic equipment, ensuring efficient production with local partners. Candidates must have a strong background in electrical manufacturing, postgraduate qualifications, and be fluent in both English and Chinese. This role also requires travel for team meetings and project work, supporting innovative international projects.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical manufacturing with appropriate postgraduate qualifications.
• Fluent in English and Chinese for effective communication.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Help assemble documentation for technology transfer from China to UK manufacturing teams.
• Develop local supply chain to comply with COO and Customs requirements.
• Lead manufacturing team in implementing assembly plans.
• Ensure completion of tasks within specified timescales.
• Support preparation of the Certificate of Origin documentation.
• Coordinate to maintain consistency and quality.
• Resolve technical and team problems.
• Ensure safe and efficient work practices.

Skills

Understanding of power electronic system assembly

Fluency in English

Fluency in Chinese

Experience with Standards and Quality systems

Strong financial control

Interpersonal skills

Ability to work on projects with minimal supervision

Willingness to travel internationally

Education

Postgraduate qualifications in electrical manufacturing
