A multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in London is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer with design experience to assist in various projects. Qualifications

Overview

Intermediate Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer - To £48K + Package + Ongoing Training

Due to growth, I'm looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer for a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in London.

You'll be mentored by a Chartered and supportive Mechanical Director and be responsible for assisting the Senior Mechanical Engineers with design, sizing, calculations and attending site and design team meetings.

As an Intermediate Mechanical (HVAC / Building Services) Design Engineer you'll receive ongoing training and support so you can progress to an engineer level within the next year and start leading your own projects.

And rather than just being stuck behind a computer screen all day, here you'll get to oversee the installation, testing or commissioning of HVAC systems on the projects you have helped design.

Responsibilities
  • Production of HVAC design calculations on projects across RIBA stages 2 - 4a.
  • Carrying out duct sizing, pipe sizing, layouts, plant sizing, heat loss and heat gain calculations, and pressure drop calculations.
  • Assisting with the design of hot and cold-water services.
  • Marking up AutoCAD drawings for the CAD staff to finalise.
  • Attending design team meetings with contractors, client\'s or architects.
  • Ensuring your HVAC designs are coordinated with the Electrical and Structural Engineers.
  • Attending site visits and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) to develop your understanding of the building services industry.
Qualifications
  • Degree (Or HNC / HND) qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Able to use Bentley Hevacomp, IES, Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Previous hotel, residential, commercial office or mixed-use project experience.
  • At least two years\' experience, working in the Building Services industry.
