Job summary

A local authority in Derbyshire is looking for an experienced Interim Property Manager to support their diverse property portfolio. This role, which offers significant autonomy and flexible working with only one on-site day per week, requires expertise in property management. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day activities, overseeing landlord and tenant casework, and ensuring compliance on property matters. Qualifications

Rate: £450-£500 per day

Contract: 6 months

Office Requirement: 1 day per week

Interviews: Week commencing 12th January

A Derbyshire-based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim Property Manager to support the management of a varied property portfolio. The role offers significant autonomy and flexible working, with just one on-site day per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day property and estates activity across a mixed portfolio
  • Lead on complex landlord & tenant casework, including leases, rent matters, negotiations and professional advice
  • Oversee compliance, inspections, maintenance issues and contractor coordination
  • Support strategic property decisions and contribute to ongoing projects
Requirements
  • Strong background in property or estates management
  • MRICS preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience handling complex L&T matters
  • Public-sector or local authority experience desirable
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
