Job summary

A reputable professional services provider based in the Midlands is seeking an Interim Group Financial Controller for a 6-month role, with a competitive day rate of £400 – £550. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end finance function including financial reporting and internal controls, and must be comfortable with hands-on finance tasks. Experience in professional services and managing finance systems is key. Hybrid working opportunities are available, but regular office attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an entire finance function required.
• Hands-on experience with transactional finance essential.
• Experience with system implementation or optimization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and roll out a new finance system.
• Ensure compliance with tax advisors and authorities.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning involved.

Skills

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

Strong knowledge of multicurrency accounting

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
