A leading housing association in Manchester is looking for an Interim Fire Safety Consultant to lead fire safety compliance initiatives. This role requires someone with significant experience in social housing fire safety management and in-depth knowledge of fire safety regulation. You will oversee actions from Fire Risk Assessments, ensure compliance with the Fire Safety Order, and manage fire safety inspections. This is a critical role aimed at elevating fire safety standards across their residential properties.

Qualifications

What You Will Deliver (Key Focus) :

FRA Remediation: Oversee and accelerate the effective completion of all actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), tracking progress rigorously.

Compliance: Ensure absolute compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and related legislation, including the Fire Safety Act 2021.

Inspections & Audits: Manage a robust program of fire safety inspections, audits, and checks (e.g., compartmentation surveys, fire door inspections).

Technical Advice: Provide expert, pragmatic guidance on fire safety issues to maintenance teams, capital works, and asset management.

You Must Have :

Social Housing / Residential Experience in a dedicated Fire Safety Management role.

Expert knowledge of the FSO 2005 and related UK fire safety standards (e.g., BS 9991, Approved Document B).
