An international services group in the UK is seeking an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to support its legal team. This role offers a fixed-term contract of 3-6 months with the requirement to work one day in the Cheshire office. Description

International services group seeks to recruit an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to support the business on broad based commercial legal matters, working as part of a small legal team. This is a fixed term contract position for between 3-6 months. One day in the Cheshire office is required.

Responsibilities
  • You will be a key contact for various teams within the business offering support to a range of functions including Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, Health & Safety and Pensions
  • Working on large transactions with clients across both public and private sector
  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts including supply, outsourcing, procurement, IT and services
  • You may advise on regulatory and compliance in Intellectual Property, GDPR, anti-bribery and corruption
  • You will provide legal updates and internal training
We are looking for
  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with at least 2+ years PQE*
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a variety of often complex commercial contracts
  • Experience in outsourcing would be desirable but not essential
  • Previous experience working in-house a distinct advantage
  • Committed, driven and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work at a strategic level
