Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in instrumentation within Oil & Gas.
• Solid understanding of onshore/offshore gas operations.
• Confident with Management of Change processes.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve discipline standards.

NES Fircroft on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas Operator are hiring an Instrument Engineer to join a long-term project supporting two major UK gas terminals. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‑on technical work, solving daily instrumentation challenges, and influencing how a discipline operates. You’ll be working across instrumentation integrity, maintenance support, upgrades, troubleshooting, and safety assurance — including involvement in HAZOPs, LOPAs, Fire & Gas, ESD systems, ATEX, and more. Plenty of variety, strong visibility, and the chance to make a real impact on operational performance.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong instrumentation background within Oil & Gas (ideally 5–10 yrs)
• HNC/HND minimum; Chartered preferred
• Solid understanding of onshore/offshore gas operations
• Confident with safety‑critical systems and Management of Change
• Someone who enjoys supporting technicians and improving discipline standards

Role details:

• Based in Norwich (travel to Bacton & Dimlington)
