An international high-technology group is seeking an Inspector to ensure products and sub-assemblies meet the necessary specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will assist production teams while performing timely inspections and act as a focal point for internal and external disciplines. An Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent in aerospace, along with strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach, is essential for success in this role. Experience with aircraft components is preferred.
As an Inspector, you will utilise various inspection tools and techniques to ensure products, and sub-assemblies meet the specification and quality standards required.
The ideal candidate will be able to seamlessly assist production teams whilst ensuring key products within the shop are inspected in a timely fashion.
You will act as the focal point with internal and external disciplines and be seen as a subject expert internally with a deep knowledge of inspection techniques and quality management systems.
Once fully trained you will hold and maintain approvals necessary to authorise the release of complete units.
This role will be central to providing input into continuous improvement activity and evaluate and sentence non-conformities.
You will effectively work to an inspection plan and organise amongst the team the inspection of weekly deliveries including the creation of initial paperwork to satisfy final sign-off.
An inspector will need to be able to support production during shifts (Day shift, Bridging shift, Night shift and weekend shifts).
