Job summary

Dibbinsdale Inn in Wirral is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to provide a warm welcome and assist with late check-ins and walk-ins. You’ll help with front-of-house tasks, breakfast setup, and general cleaning as needed, while maintaining guest safety and security throughout the night.

The role requires independence, strong communication, and a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll be part of a team that values guest experience and a safe, welcoming environment for all guests.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• May include cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, and setting up meeting rooms for the next day.
• Ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuate all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
