Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking an enthusiastic Night Porter to greet guests arriving late, maintain a welcoming environment, and support front-of-house and breakfast setup. The role emphasizes safety, guest satisfaction, and teamwork across site operations.

You will work overnight from roughly 11pm to 7am, with DBS checks required as part of recruitment, and opportunities to contribute to a thriving hospitality team within our brands.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and may include cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day.
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.
