Job summary

Springfield Inn in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated Night Porter for overnight shifts (11pm–7am). You’ll be the first point of contact for late arrivals and walk-ins, delivering a warm, genuine welcome to every guest.

The role emphasizes guest safety, security, and teamwork, with duties including basic front-of-house tasks, assisting with breakfast setup, and responding to guest inquiries. A DBS check is required as part of recruitment.

• You'll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly.
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.

This is an overnight position, with shifts typically ranging from 11pm to 7am (depending on the site).

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of the recruitment process.

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS ROLE:

• Be the first point of contact when checking in late arrivals and walk-ins.
• Ensure a warm, friendly and genuine welcome to all guests.
• The role is varied and, depending on your site, may include: cleaning tasks within the front of house, external and breakfast areas, setting up the meeting room(s) and breakfast for the next day
• You’ll ensure guest and business safety and security is top priority at all times.
• In the event of a fire, evacuating all guests and team from the business safely and quickly
• Answer telephone enquiries and deal with guest complaints to ensure everyone enjoys their stay.
