Bromford Housing Group is seeking an Independent Living Scheme Officer to lead management across eight schemes in Patchway, Filton, and Little Stoke. You will support residents through regular contact, annual reviews, and community activities, while coordinating repairs and safeguarding procedures.

You will travel across South Gloucestershire, engage with residents monthly, organise quarterly meetings, maintain records, and promote wellbeing, reducing isolation within a welcoming community.

Qualificações

• DBS and Adults Barred List required.
• Full driving licence essential.
• Experience in housing/independent living is desirable.

About the Role: As an Independent Living Scheme Officer, you’ll take the lead in managing our independent living schemes in Patchway, Filton, and Little Stoke. From ensuring communal areas are safe and welcoming, to supporting customers through regular contact, reviews, and social engagement – you’ll be at the heart of a thriving community. You’ll also support the management of customer escalations, coordinate communal repairs, and play a role in our Placed-Based Project, working collaboratively with customers and members of other teams to find solutions that work for our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Day-to-day management of 8Independent Living Schemes, managing your own workload


• Working with other teams to ensure that communal areas and facilities are in good order


• Welcoming new customers and conducting annual Independent Living Reviews


• Having monthly contact with all customers


• Facilitating quarterly customer meetings


• Report and manage any Health and Safety issues on the schemes


• Keep accurate records, using Housing Management systems and spreadsheets


• Promote wellbeing and reduce social isolation through activities


• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed


• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a positive team culture.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Tech-savvy, with experience using Microsoft Office and housing systems


• Knowledgeablein safeguarding, equality & diversity, and health & safety

A full, clean driving licence is essential. There will be occasional travel across South Gloucestershire to cover other schemes and to travel to our regional offices for training.
